THE SUMMER CAMP PROJECT

During the two month school holiday we run an on-site Camp for children from the San-Sai area. The camp includes children both from our ongoing special education needs projects and children without special needs who require supervised structured activities while school is closed.

 

This has been a successful model for all involved as it encourages friendships and acceptance. The camp operates 3 full days each week and is staffed by our full-time team with additional periodic assistance from Sansai hospital therapists. Parents also join for outings and special events.

 

We strive to maintain our focus on preparing children for future independent living while incorporating recreational activities. Pre-vocational training such as making snacks, simple cooking, gardening, and basic cleaning are a part of the general schedule as is creating Thai-handicrafts. The children enjoy swimming in our pool and participating in horseback riding at the nearby Military ranch.
