Act Now Children's Fund Teams Up With The Dulabhatorn Foundation

On 14 March 2026, the Dulabhatorn Foundation welcomed a delegation from Act Now Children's Fund to our campus in Sansai District. The visit included a tour of DBF's facilities, including the organic farm and vegetable garden that supply our training cafe, and concluded with the donation of essential supplies and resources for our beneficiaries and their families.

Act Now Children's Fund is a Thailand-based organisation committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families across the country. Their decision to direct support to DBF reflects a shared understanding of what practical help actually looks like for families managing disability on a daily basis.

"Access to essential resources and opportunities is the cornerstone of improving the quality of life for people with disabilities." -- The Dulabhatorn Foundation

For the families in our programs, caregiving is not part-time work. It is continuous, and it is often carried without adequate external support. Donations like this one reduce a real and immediate burden, and they allow families to stay focused on their child's development rather than managing resource gaps.

DBF serves children and adults with disabilities across six program areas: a Vocational Training Program, a School Aged Program, an Intermediate Program, a Complex Needs Program, a Monitoring and Outreach Program reaching villages including Pang Ma O and Nong Pueng, and a Learning Center open to the broader community. The foundation operates under royal patronage and was founded in 2007 by Dr Brian Doberstyn, a paediatrician who identified a critical gap in disability services in Northern Thailand.

A private endowment covers administrative costs, meaning that external donations and partnerships like this one translate directly into program support. That model is deliberate. DBF was built on the conviction that sustainable impact for people with disabilities requires training and employment pathways, not dependency. Act Now's support fits that framework.

DBF will distribute all donated resources to beneficiaries promptly and in accordance with Act Now's objectives. We are grateful to Act Now Children's Fund for their generosity and for choosing to invest in the families we serve.
